It is the cave of the heart that one should live in not a cave on a hillside....Going to an Ashram won't help either if you cannot go within....all that will do is give temporary quietude without removing the vasanas...I have been to ashrams they are full of unrealised people with suppressed vasanas. If you cure yourself while living in normal society it is more permanent...It is about detachment not location.....
